This Week's Target Find:

If you haven't scanned the Target ad in your local paper, do it now!
These crossbody bags are half-off this week only - that makes then a steal at $5 a pop! I spotted about six different fabrics to choose from in my local store this evening but chose the pink/orange plaid to take on vacation with me next week. It's the perfect size for a book, my camera, and some sunscreen. And if, for some reason, it gets ruined or I'm sick of it in a week or two, that's ok!

This Week's Target Find:

Technically it doesn't happen until next week but keep your eye out for the April 18th Earth Day ad - and head into stores to get your free reusable bag with any purchase! They're green and fun. And oh-so-earth-friendly.

A Bit of Ridiculousness on a Hanger

Since I'm the only who really reads my blog, I can openly admit that I tried on three pieces of ridiculousness at Target tonight. Contrary to popular belief, I cannot make anything look cute. I really can make some things look ridiculous.
The first item I tried on was this little striped dress in the Jean Paul Gaultier for Target collection. I first noticed it while shopping with my sister about a week ago and we were perplexed by the piece of fabric swinging to the side because it had been pulled under the dress, making a little jumper, when we saw it on the hanger. I saw it again tonight and thought I just had to try it on to figure it out. I had no idea the fabric was supposed to be off to the side until I looked up the dress on Target.com.
My honest review: It simply didn't work on me. As a dress, the side swung fabric looked awkward and pulled between my legs to make a jumper was just hilarious. I laughed-out-loud right there in the dressing room. Reviews on Target.com seem to be mixed but overall, it's just not for me.

The second and third items were very similar to this little jumper but in the cutest stripey fabric.  On had straps and the other was strapless and they were oh-so-cute on the hangers but I had a feeling they weren't going to work on my body - and they didn't. I'm not sure if my legs are too long or my torso is too short or if I've developed hips in my old age... but yeah, I'm gonna let the high schoolers keep this trend to themselves.

Overall, we had a successful shopping trip and Chris got what he needed so we all left happy. And I'll stick to the pretty floral dress I bought last week.

This Week's Target Find:

I know Target failed me a few days ago but today, it has been redeemed.
I scored this darling little dress over the weekend (for just $22!) and today was the perfect day to wear it. It made my whole day happy.

This Week's Target Fail:

What? Target fail? How is this possible? I will tell you how.
I had a never-fail shaving cream. It was perfect for those cold days when you're a bit more sensitive and prone to razor burn. I've been buying from Target for.ever. And they stopped carrying it. I checked three Target stores around me and none of them, none of them, carry it anymore.
I am forced to either check the Rite Aide around the corner (that kind of creeps me out) or just buy online.
It's a sad day in Target-land.
Drugstore.com, here I come.

This Week's Target Find:

I haven't seen these in stores but apparently Target dot com is full of treasures!
This week I'm digging these Polaroid Notecards - 20 cards w/ envelopes for just $14.99.

This Week's Target Find:

The holidays are coming! The holidays are coming!
This item isn't exclusive to Target but that's where I saw it so it's making this week's Find!
I'm currently in love with method's new handsoap/candle/aroma pill scent: Hollyberry. It's part holiday, part manly smell... something about it just keeps me coming back for more.
These cute little gel handsoaps sell at Target for somewhere around $4.
You can find more Hollyberry products in stores - check method's website for places to find their products near you and to print a $2 coupon!

This Week's Target Find:

Anyone who has stayed the night at our house in chilly weather has been introduced to the wonder that is microfleece sheets. Originally found at a Costco in the Bay Area, we just purchased a second set at our local Target so we don't have to fight our guests for them.

Available in Blue, White, Taupe, and Snowflake, this set also features fleece pillowcases that make it oh-so-hard to get your head off the pillow in the morning and oh-so-easy to fall into them at night. Just writing about them makes me want to go curl up in bed. Warm and cozy, they are sure to fill your winter dreams with visions of cocoa and firesides.

We found them for $37.99, and they are worth every penny.
Seen in Twin, Full, and Queen sizes.

This week's Target find:

Everyone loves a cozy PJ and now that the sun is setting sooner and the weather is getting cooler, it's time to invest in a little flannel. How about a colorful plaid sleepshirt for only $10? Yep, you read it right! Ten buckeroos!
Available in a variety of colors, featured in their weekly ad:

This week's Target find:

Since we're all going to run out and buy Halloween M&Ms anyway, you might as well buy two bags (on sale 2/$5 in this week's ad) and get your free Halloween themed reusable tote!
Big enough to fit your Sunday paper, it folds up small enough to stow in your glove box or toss in your popularly-oversized-purse.
Complete with velcro closure, this bag is designed so that Little Spider's face is peeking out at you.

Small print: I'm sure that Target's offer is "while supplies last" and may only be available in certain areas of the USA. I was able to take advantage of this offer at my friendly Ventura Target. It only took three employees, two Target ads, and about ten minutes to find the free bag. What can I say, us employed people like our free stuff.
Little pumpkins from Trader Joe's, four for $2.99.

Target find: New Favorite Sweats

It's a good thing I get an allowance or we'd go seriously broke at Target. This week's special find: Mossimo Drawstring Pant with Pocket:

Pictured here in "Seaweed Wrap"

Usually $19.99, they're on sale in this week's ad for $15. Not too bad for a pair of pants that will quickly becoming your favorites! They feel like sweats but don't fit like them, so you can wear them while on errands or walking the dog without fear of judgment from Stacy and Clinton.
I went back and forth for a while choosing a color but eventually settled on the eggplant purple (larger color selection in store than online).

Gift bag? Nay, I say lunch tote!

Anyone who knows me even a little knows that I love Target. It's genetic, passed down through the X chromosome from my mom.
I was there today for the basics (cat food! razors!) and saw this darling little gift bag. But when something is this cute, you just have to put your lunch in it and take it to work.
