Guest Room Update

As the weekend draws to a close, I find myself in desperate need of a weekend! Chris was probably grateful to go to work today after all the work I had him doing around the house! Here's the latest update on the almost-finished room:

Step Five: Primer! We primed all the walls and did a second coat on the wall that was brown as well as along the middle where the stripe and decals were. Everything always look so fresh with a coat of primer and the second coat really paid off.

Step Six: Paint! Paint paint paint. Then paint some more
We did the first coat of Pensive Sky on the walls before we went to bed on Saturday so we could do a second coat first thing on Sunday.
There are also two coats of Powdered Snow on the closet trim and two coats of Morning Sunlight inside the closet. A surprise peek of color!
Most of the painting happened on Sunday and I did the final coat of yellow inside the closet this morning. My arms are like jello.

Earnest is very happy to finally have his sun spot back!

The baseboards and cabinet doors are primed and painted and Chris is going to try to put them in tonight. The only things left to do are the closet doors. They need to be sanded, primed, and painted (probably two coats) - I just didn't have the energy to get them done this afternoon and had a TON to clean up after four solid days of work. Add the fact that it was almost 80 degrees here today and standing outside in the sun wasn't all that appealing...

I also need to get new curtains for the windows - I'd love something with a little yellow in it to match the inside of the closet. Something with flowers, perhaps? Let me know if you have any ideas!

Final pics to come soon...
