Just discovered this little tumblr of famous people riding bikes.

Weekend Recap
I'm a little behind... this recap is actually from last weekend. These past weeks have been so crazy-busy that pictures from last weekend didn't make it to my laptop until today. Whoops!
This current weekend is just as busy as last weekend and at the rate I'm going, you won't hear about it until Christmas!
Regardless, the hubs and I hopped in the car last weekend to head south and meet eight - yes, eight! - of his friends at my favorite place - Disneyland!
It's snowy and Christmasey and full of Holiday Spirit and I love love love it!
I want to make one of these for the birds that live in our tree!
The Hubs went home after Disneyland but I stuck around LA to hit up Unique LA and Renegade with my mom and sister on Sunday.
I always feel awkward taking pictures at these shows so I didn't take very many. I did get to meet Danni from oh, hello friend - she had booths at both Unique and Renegade so it was a treat to meet her. I said hello and then followed it with something incoherent and crazy like, "oh my gosh i've been following your blog forever and you have the cutest blog and i love your stuff and your wedding was darling and your mom is so cute and i pray for her all the time" and she was sweet and gracious in return. I bet she gets that all the time...
Anyway.
I always seem to gravitate toward paper goods and this show didn't disappoint. A few of our favorite booths belonged to:
Sycamore Street Press
Joie Studio
Paper Pastries
Dee & LaLa
RockScissorPaper
luludee
The Art of Brittney Lee
Some images I snapped:
A fun little acorn tree - love the red baker's twine.
Encountered this little guy as decor for a booth. Don't you just want to scratch behind his ears?
LOVE their booth and business! What a cute little scooter!
The day was surprisingly clear and warm for December in LA.
How amazing are these views from the penthouse?
You can see all the way down to the port of Long Beach!
Also love this turret -
And this super-fun bike rack -
I hope you're all having a great weekend! I'll try to be better about my recaps... maybe a resolution for the new year...?
All images by me. Please don't use without asking first. Because they're just that awesome.

Simplify your Desktop
Looking for something new to dress up your computer desktop without feeling cluttered?
Head to Simple Desktops - cute, silly, random, and all simple. And free.
Some of my favorites:

This one was called "Flying Horse" - I think it's pretty obvious how he propels himself...
But he is kind of cute!

Flawless.
I'm pretty much in love with this whole post.
Feel free to use it for inspiration whenever you're wondering what to get me for a birthday or Christmas or any miscellaneous gift in between. Or if you just need a little *push* of motivation to get out the door and ride your own bike!
I especially like the Simplicity Poster (it would go lovely with the other bike-related wall art in the office!) and red Bensimmon slip-ons (how do I not already own a pair?) and oh my goodness this bike wants to come live with me and be my new BFF so badly!
*swoon*
(for the second time in one day!)

Bike Love
The weather is finally warm enough to qualify as "summer" and I'm itching to take all my bikes out and play on a sunny afternoon.
I'm thinking that these handmade cherry bike grips would be absolutely darling on my vintage Phillips bike -

I'd ride it while wearing this Biking is for Lovers shirt. Doesn't that sound lovely?

(Also available in women's sizes. Images via zibbet.)

Summer Bikes
Sunny summer days always inspire me to hop on a bike and go for a ride! I'm going to try to do that a lot more this summer. We've had two sunny afternoons in a row so here's hoping the June-gloom is over and done with...
Here are some bike-related items from etsy that have been inspiring lately while I've been waiting for the sunny days:
Small leather sketchbook journal:

Letterpress 'let's ride' print:

Block printed bike pillow cover:

Stitched bicycle gift tags:

Steel bicycle pendant and necklace:

Current loves
For those of you who don't know, I love bikes. I've been riding one in some form for as long I can remember - from the time I originally learned how to ride in our little Monrovia neighborhood cul de sac to the pink and purple two-wheeler I rode while racing around our North Carolina missionary center with the boys to the three bicycles currently housed in our garage with my name on them...
So how lucky am I that they've suddenly become trendy and bicycle themed items are everywhere! I have a hard time exhibiting self-control...
That being said, I want want want one of these to wear:

...while riding my bike with one of these built by my hubs:

Please, pretty please, I'm in love.
But who wouldn't be?
Many thanks to a favorite blog, you are my fave for the post and links. You're a dangerous blog to follow!

I want to wear my bicycle...
The weather is finally warm and sunny and we're just itching to get on our bikes again!
Maybe my husband will clean them up so we can take them for a little spin.
In the meantime, I'm lusting over these little beauties from Bethtastic on etsy:
Silver bicycle pendant and necklace:

Vintage brass bicycle pendant:

And thanks to Scoutie Girl for the original link!

Biking is for Lovers.
Or so the t-shirt says. Wouldn't it be cute if Chris and I each had one? We could go for bike rides wearing matching shirts!

Bike Basket meets Grocery Basket
How fun are these shopping baskets found at Design House Stockholm!
I naturally gravitate toward the cheerful green but white might look better on my British one-speed. They're just $39 for the grocery basket that you can modify for your bike or you can shell out $79 for a basket that comes with hooks and a bike holder already.
If it wasn't so windy, I'd take a little bike ride right now!
