I just spent an hour on Skype, video-chatting with my sister in Madagascar! I haven't used Skype before because we get a really great international rate on our home VOIP phone but my sister recently figured out how to install it on her laptop so we decided to try it out.
I don't think either of us were prepared for the video feature - I kind of forgot that my laptop does that! We spent the first five minutes giggling at each other and just feeling awkward and funny. Then we figured out how to speak and were on the phone for almost an hour. I even did a little video tour of my house to remind her what it looks like in America. And made her jealous of all my shoes.

We were the same way when we talked to her! We spent most of the hour just squealing about how awesome it was to SEE her and talk to her! It was amazing and so fabulous--she looked so beautiful. I just wanted to reach into the computer and touch her. Wow--she just seemed so much more REAL somehow. We took pictures of her on the computer talking to us!
Yeah, well, you made me so jealous of cute shoes I was about to quit peace corps and come home! I'm back in the capital city now if you want to "hang out" again! : )
